I am trying to conceive but want to start working out. i've heard starting to exercise can cause missed periods. does this hurt my chances of ttc?

No: Working out is always a wonderful idea. And being fit during pregnancy is good for both of you. You have to exercise very heavily, or lose a lot of weight, decreasing the total % of body fat to affect periods and fertility. So sensible exercising is fine.

Moderation. : It is ok to exercise when you are trying to conceive and when you are pregnant. In fact, it can be good for you-improving your health and relieving stress. Extreme exercise can have an adverse effect upon fertility and general health so use common sense. Stay well hydrated. Do not overdo it. If you are not sure what is safe, talk with your doctor!
