My lyphnodes are swollen but only on one side and at the base of my neck and are painful and i feel like i have a lump in my throat, hard to breathe?

Infection: Sounds like you have throat infection. Antibiotics should help.

Your age? how long? : In adults and older adolescents, the symptoms you describe (if acute) are invariably viral in origin. Occasionally a strep or tooth problem may be the cause. If your symptoms persist, or you have trouble swallowing your saliva or persistent fever, you should have your doctor take a look at you.
