First make right....: First, make sure this is the correct diagnosis and then make sure it is not related to a rheumatologic issue. Pain in this region is usually referred from the spine and not usually a primary si joint problem which can occur after a pelvic fracture that extends into the joint or related to a rheumatologic diagnosis like ankylosing spondylitis. See a rheumatologist to see if this is the diagnosis.
