Bad: One publication looked at 93 cases of fetal cardiomegaly. It reported that 50% of the cases were due to heart problems, and 43% were due to genetic-mutation anemias. The perinatal mortality rate (percent of babies that died during the second half of pregnancy or during the first month after birth) was a big 70%.
