A member asked:

Are there lawsuits on the nuvaring only because the company failed to state the risks in warnings? is it any more "risky" than any other bc?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Any estrogen, whether in the nuvaring, the orthoevra patch or in the birth control pill, can be associated with an increased risk of blood clot. Typically in young women this risk is very very low and the risks associated with a pregnancy are much more life threating. Nuvaring is no more risky than pill, and likely less risky than patch. Sometimes lawsuits and evidence don't always match up.
