The upper left side of my hip hurts? its like a sharp pain comes and goes

Doctor can evaluate: Aches and pains around a hip can be from inside the hip, outside the hip, nerves in the area, nerves coming to the area (from the spinal cord), etc... Sometimes it is the muscles and ligaments; sometimes it is the joint; other times it is both. A primary care doctor can evaluate and examine, and refer to a specialist if needed.
