May need evaluation.: The penis normally becomes flaccid after orgasm, entering a 'refractory period' where sexual desire & erections are diminished. If the appearance of the penis is different than this, & is accompanied by pain, bruising, & swelling, it could be a penile fracture, where the fascial sheath of the erect penis tears during vigorous sex. This is a medical emergency & needs to be corrected surgically.
