Inadvisable: Although it is best to avoid extremely strenuous activity, including heavy lifting, during pregnancy, the human body is very capable of self-protection. As long as one is without pain or vaginal bleeding, heavy lifting was probably not detrimental to the pregnancy. Pain, bleeding, or continued concern should be discussed with your obstetrician (and no more heavy lifting.).
