General anesthesia : Is extremely safe. Don't worry too much. If it helps, ask your doctor to prescribe an anxiolytic medication for the night before and the morning of surgery.

Reassurance coming..: General anesthesia is now incredibly safe. The agents used by anesthesiologists are very short acting and the monitoring is very sophisticated. Make sure that your operation is performed at an accredited facility and that your anesthesiologist is certified by the american board of anesthesiology. Patients having augmentation are generally young and healthy...You will do just fine!
