Tailbone: Bu tailbone i assume you mean the coccyx. These are painful and if you have noted swelling then there has to be some inflammation. Please see you doctor for help, in the meantime use ice.

Need to examine: You need to see your doctor for an evaluation. In the interim you may take acetaminophen for pain relief.
