Bipolar disorder: If you have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder by a mental health professional then you may need medications for a prolonged period along with psychosocial therapies .Symptoms may wax and wane but you need to discuss with your mental health professional about need of treatment.

More importantly: With treatment you can learn to live with this condition and cope with its features. You should seek help from a good counselor and a good alspsychiatrist. They can guide you through this. You may want to read an unquiet mind by kay refield jamison, a leading psychologist who studies bipolar and has bipolar herself. In the end bipolar may go away or not.

Bipolar: With proper medications and therapy, many have gone into remission, especially if social support system is good and they are functioning on daily basis.
