Needs 2 C a Doctor: When sorting out the cause of abdominal pain, it's important to distinguish pain from the abdominal wall vs. Cavity. The former often changes w/activity or position; the latter is often affected by diet. The pain you are describing may be due to a hernia but this is best evaluated face-to-face to take a formal history and physical exam. I recommend that she see a primary care doctor.
