Could surgery hurt around the collar bone?

Yes and no: Each and every surgery carries risk of complications and untoward consequences and outcomes. If you are in need of surgery due to a fractured collar bone, you need to consult with your orthopedic specialist regarding your options, risks and complications. Typically, those surgeries are less complicated than others and heal fairly quickly.

Possibly: Not sure exactly what you are asking. Men and women who undergo laparoscopy in their belly can have pain afterward around their shoulder or collar bone. This is typically worse on the right side. It results from gas inside your belly during surgery irritating the nerves in that area.
