Good health habits: Some women will have very regular menstrual cycles no matter what is going on in their lives. In other women, the menstrual cycle is very sensitive to subtle changes in life style, such as travel, stress, weight changes, lack of sleep, or diet changes. Irregularity is not necessarily a sign of ill health though it should be investigated if menses are closer than 3 weeks or further than 3 mo.
