What type of doctor performs a biopsy if it is on a spinal bone?

A few can do it: If it is found during an operation on the spine the orthopedist or neurosurgeon will do the biopsy. If it is found on imaging (x-ray or mri) an interventional radiologist may be asked to do it via a needle.

DEPENDS ON HOSPITAL: It can be done by an orthopedic surgeon or neuro surgeon.
