Plantar fascitiis: Apply ice, massage it before you get out of bed. Try wearing arch supports. You can also try an antiinflammatory like Motrin or alleve.

If the pain: Is by the bottom of the heel this is classic plantar fasciitis. A night splint is helpful at getting rid of that morning pain.
