Chronic mono?: Mononucleosis is an acute disease which resolves, although sometimes slowly. There is an entity called chronic fatigue syndrome which initially was thought to be related to epstein-barr virus, the cause of mono, but is not.

Yes/doesn't happen: There are a dwindling number of dermatologists who still like working with rare skin diseases rather than the lucrative cosmetic issues. A local primary care source should be able to refer you. The CDC review of "chronic mono" declared it a myth more than a decade ago.
