Need work up: You need to talk to your OB doctor, and may have to see a vascular surgeon, getting leg cramps is a concern, for dvt, or venous insufficiency , have to have, doppler venous study, rest elevation of legs, elastic stockings warm compresses will help till you see your physician (s).

Veins pregnancy: Varicose veins are not uncommon during pregnancy. Most of the issues will resolve within 3 months after the completion of the pregnancy.I agree that a sonogram would be in order. Use of compression maternity pantyhose is important to stop progression of these veins issues.

Pregnant leg cramps: Varicose veins are a common complication of pregnancy, especially if you have had previous vein surgery. Cramps are frequently associated with varicose veins and, when they occur, typically get worse during the 3rd trimester of pregnancy. As drs. C and r said, compression and leg elevation are key. Talk to your OB but i doubt that early induction would be recommended even with severe cramps.
