Burning on uriation,: Also need to urinate frequently plus foul smelling urine. Pain in pelvis. Can have a urethral discharge if due to an std. Can have blood in urine. Fever if severe especially if infection reached the kidney(s). Flank pain and tenderness if back of lower rib cage is tapped. Urinalysis will be positive for bacteria & white blood cells and/or red blood cells.
