Acute or chronic?: Very important to know if this is an acute or chronic problem. Causes of epididymitis are: infectious, trauma, vascular, tumors, iatrogenic (sequelae from medical procedures). A good history, physical exam and scrotal sonogram are of paramount importance. Hope this helps.
