what is the medical term for white milky discharges of the nipples on an infant?

Dr. James Ferguson

Medical?it's milk !: The common lay term is witches milk. Newborns may show the effect of pregnancy hormones by having breast enlargement & some may leak milk. It is important not to mess with the area & have it evaluated if it appears irritated or inflamed.Germs can get into the babies nipple and cause a destructive abscess leading to problems later on.
