Dryness: I am not sure what you mean by blinking hard. Is it more often than normally or is it that you need to suck your eyelids in when blinking? Is there is any reason you blink hard or is it something you've been doing for no reason and it's annoying. Some people's eyes are so dry that they end up blinking more to alleviate it. Is it your case? Or do you have any troubles with eyelid lashes?

Dry eye: Hard blinking stimulates expression of the oil glands of the lids. This adds to oil to the tear film which eliminates dry eye symptoms.

Do my eyes go crossed eyed because of contacts?

No: Crossed eyes and contacts are not related. There are several reasons why eyes might cross; poor vision, lazy eye (amblyopia), strabismus, etc.
Many times the situation can be corrected by a pediatric ophthalmologist...They specialize in crossed eyes.

Lid Hygeine: Try to clean you eyelids daily with dilute "baby shampoo" and a cotton swab. Place a drop of the shampoo in your palm and dilute it with some water. Work up a small lather and then wet the swab. Clean the base of the eyelashes where they come out of lid of both your upper and lower lids.
Do this daily for a while. You can hopefully cut back to less frequent cleaning over time.

A 42-year-old female asked:
What could possibly be the cause of the whites of my eyes turning blue?

Dr. Mehdi Ghajar answered

Thinning sclera: This can be genetic or develop as a result of eye conditions later in life. You may have a genetic problem that is also related to other connective tissue diseases like the bone, or rheumatologic disease like rhematoid arthritis or have developed this as a result of injury/infection. The sclera can appear blue when it gets thinner & needs to be evaluated by an eye md (ophthalmologist) asap.
