Usually, a person presnts with bloody urine or multiple UTI that will lead to a doctor taking a patient of the kidneys and diagnosing the issue.

PKD Diagnosis: PKD is diagnosed by renal ultrasound. BY age 30, an affected person will have 3 or more cysts per kidney. Family history is relevant also. Renal MRI is more accurate but more expensive. Genetic testing can be very precise but is expensive.
