A member asked:

Is it possible to have multiple personalities in your sleep?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No, do not worry: Multiple personality disorder (or dissociative identity disorder) is a serious mental illness that develops when people have had early-on traumatizing experiences that have made them "dissociate" parts of themselves in order to survive. People don't develop multiple personalities when they sleep; but they can have strange dreams/nightmares that represent unintegrated parts of themselves.
