No, but.: Diazepam does not increase blood alcohol content. Diazepam will add to the depressant effect of the alcohol, so the person who is drinking alcohol will appear more drunk.

Valium & Alcohol: Valium (diazepam) will not increase blood alcohol content. BUT avoid using Valium (diazepam) with alcohol because it can increase effects such as impaired judgment, cognition, concentration & reaction time as well as causing sedation and dizziness.
