Diaphragm: It's hard to understand correctly what area you are referring to without actually seeing it, but as far as i could understand, you are referring to the lower part of the chest wall and that's where the diaphragm is lying. Diaphragm is a muscle that separates the chest cavity from the of the abdomen (stomach).
