Can be improved: Diabetes may affect microvascular disease, and cause erectile dysfunction. To start with , you must see your doctor to check your testosterone level, also make sure your diabetes is well controlled, and your sex drive reduction is not a side effect of some medications. Beside , your doctor may recommend to you some other medications to improve your sex drive, if there are no contraindications.

This is common :(: Sexual function is often affected in patients with diabetes. The main cause is related to damage from the dm, high BP and lipids- thus doing your best to get to goal is most important- I have my pts aim for a1c <6.5, your BP (<130/80) & ldl<70 & hdl>40/50. Also review your meds w/your dr. & ask for your testosterone to be checked b/c both of these issues can cause low sex drive/function.
