I have had painful intercourse (left side pelvic pain) with deep penetration. tvu normal and cultures for infection were clear. any other suggestions?

Endometriosis: I suspect you may have endometriosis. There are many options of treatment available, both medical and surgical. Please see a gynecologist for discussion of what might be best for you. Good luck!

May be adhesions.: This may be due to adhesions, which can be from a varitty of causes. You might have adhesions if you had a previous infection, or you could have a touch of endometriosis from seeding of the abdominal cavity with endometrial tissue, or you could have pain and adhesions from a particularly traumatic ovulation. Once these adhesions are there, you can have pain from intercourse, future periods, etc.
