How does excerise affect diabetes?

Great benefits: Exercise greatly benefits those with diabetes. Exercise requires "fuel" and that fuel is glucose (sugar) and fat. The more one exercises, the more sugar and fat will be used. In addition, exercise improves blood flow and lowers risk for heart disease, both important in diabetics as diabetes is considered a risk factor for heart disease. Keep exercising!
