Need specialists: Treatment of a meningocoele requires pediatric neurologists and neurosurgeons, and a hospital with lots of experience doing it. A meningocoele is a cyst filled with cerebrospinal fluid, lined with meninges membranes, but without having neural tissue inside it. The cyst is protruding from an unfused part of the spine.
