Usually not: Herpes causes pain where the rash breaks out, because that is where the nerve endings containing the viruses are. If there is testicle pain, a primary care doctor or a urologist can evaluate for other types of infections, and also for testicular torsion (if the pain is bad). The doctors check for cancer, too.
