A member asked:

My 6 month old's heart beat is always very, very fast. is that normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

How fast is it?: An infants heart rate normally is considerably higher than that of an adult. However, there are some abnormal disturbances of heart rhythm that can occur in this age group and cause a higher than normal heart rate. If this is your concern, you'll want to discuss your concern with your pediatrician.
