Cool compresses : With pregnancy, the hormones affect the skin, fluid and electrolytes, and the blood volume. This results in worse rosacea. To decrease vasodilatation, one can use ice either as cold compresses or cold water to wash the face. Exercise causes the patient's face to flush with increased blood supply aggravating the rosacea. Certain foods/stress/chemicals are associated with rosacea with pregnancy.
