Plan meals ahead: Many of us finished our grueling medical training by our early 30s. Those of us in OB and other fields kept up the 24/7 work. That is a rough life, and few retire healthy, it is said. Equally tough is working irregular hours or night shifts. It is important to have a schedule of exercise and healthy eating during the days off and while on duty. No supplement will suffice. A balanced diet is key.

More than Vitamins: Most important is proper sleep - keep your night shift sleep schedule on your days off to safeguard your adrenal health. Then eat a clean diet low in sugar and carbs and high in fresh organic fruits and veggies and add range fed hormone free meat for protein. Vits to support are a good brand from a health food store not like centrum, extra vit d at least 2000 iu daily and check level in 2 mos.
