Stop pressure: Corns are caused by friction and pressure. In this case, it is either the shoe or next toe pressing against area. If you eliminate excessive pressure, you will stop corn from forming. A larger shoe or pad may be helpful. There are conservative and surgical treatments depending on the situation. Consult with podiatrist who can examine and offer treatment options.

A corn : Is caused when 2 things rub against each other. If the corn is on the outside part of the toe then the toe is rubbing against the shoe. If it is rubbing on the inside part of the toe then it is rubbing against the adjacent toe. You can carefully file it with an emory board. I do not like sal-acid as one can burn their skin. A podiatrist can offer you a permenant solution with surgery.
