Bumps: Syphilis doesn't present with a lot of general symptoms unless treated and then patients develop generalized symptoms due to the destruction of the syphilis bugs. First stage manifests itself with the chancre, painless ulcer at the site of entry. Secondary syphilis manifests itself with skin changes (rash, anal lesions) primarily. You presentation is not clear, so better be checked first.

Test result: Test results should be back very quickly (hours to a few days at worst) so not an issue.
