Varies: A white spot on the uvula can be a cyst, infection, or benign growth. It should not cause difficulty in swallowing. Obviously, you need a diagnosis by and ent/head and neck surgeon.

Benign: Often white patches on the uvula are due to the human papilloma virus. They can get fairly large so that you notice them. They can be removed in the office by an oral surgeon or ENT surgeon.
