Many: Hyper(overactive)thyroid causes heat intolerance, sweating, weight loss, tremors, heart racing/palpitations, hair loss and muscle weakness to name a few. Hypo(underactive)thyroid causes weight gain, cold intolerance, dry skin, hair loss, fatigue among other symptoms. Thyroid nodules are usualy asymptomatic unless big and pushing on nearby structures.

Variety of symptoms: Those with an underactive thyroid may experience: fatigue, constipation, dry skin/hair, cold intolerance, puffiness (some examples). Overactive thyroid symptoms include: difficulty sleeping, heat intolerance, frequent stooling, rapid heart beat/palpitations, tremors, nervousness, etc.
