See a Podiatrist: The numbness could be caused by some type of neuropathy, find a local podiatrist for further evaluation. The pain on your left foot could be a neuroma.

I would : Get an x-ray of the joint bothering you. The numbness is a separate problem that you need to be worked up for. This neuropathy can be caused by a variety of conditions.
