2 dif problems: Spotting on Implanon is perfectly normal. Most Implanon users have irregular periods. Implanon works by blocking the normal menstrual cycle. Fishy odor in the vagina is usually bacterial vaginosis - a nonsexually transmitted bacterial overgrowth treated with antibiotics. The frequent spotting can increase the risk of BV by raising the ph of the vagina.
