It is clean already: It may sound unusual, but urine is a sterile body fluid. Urine is normally clean from bacteria. Now if bacteria enter, from an outside source and establishes infection then antibiotics should fix the problem.

Hydration: Adequate intake of fluids help prevent urinary tract problems like infection and stone formation. 8 eight ounce glasses of water daily is a good goal. To prevent recurrent urinary tract infections, drinking unsweetened cranberry juice is helpful. Special diet and certain medications can prevent kidney stones.
