Sure!: If you are talking with a younger child, they may not fully understand the consequences of these diseases so it may need to be re-addressed as your child gets older. I believe giving facts during these talks is always the best method. There is no reason not to discuss these things with your child as they most certainly do exist. They do have a right to know about these things!
