Ativan Dosage: Ativan is a medication for Treatment of Anxiety. Dosage of Ativan depends upon severity of Anxiety. For severe Anxiety, dose can be 1mg three times a day For mild Anxiety Dosage can be 0.5mg as needed up to two times a day. Dosage as well as benefits and side effects need to be monitored by a Psychiatrist. Ativan combined with Therapy is more beneficial.

Ativan: Doses can range from 1 to 10 mg per day (in divided doses). I would not personally ever put a patient on a dose as high as 10 mg per day and I work hard with my patients who have chronically taken benzodizapines to taper them off of them. However, this is the way I practice (I prefer to use non-pharmacological treatments for anxiety if possible) and other psychiatrists practice differently.
