Allergy & trauma: Dr. Rosnfeld provides an excellent explanation. In addition, a true allergy to topical creams, lotions, lubricants or even latex may cause itching. Inadequate lubrication with excessive trauma may also cause shear injury with itching. Please also consider the possibility of stds. Discuss with your gynecologist.
