A member asked:

Is it normal for the skin around a plantar wart to peel off when using compound w?

Yes: This happens when you get the medication on the normal surrounding skin. Compound w has an acid in it to dissolve wart. This can also impact normal skin upon exposure. Try to keep medication only on wart.

Yes: Compund w is an agent that kills cells, so only apply onto the wart. If wart is deep i would suggest you see a podiatrist, who will be able to provide better options to get rid of them.

Yes: Try not to get the medication on good skin. Cut a hole in tape and place over the wart to protect skin.
