A member asked:

What can be done for pain in your anus--it's very painful to sit or stand and urinate frequently?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Pelvic process ?: Sounds like both bladder & bowels are affected. Regardless of gender, this deserves evaluation. Possiblities include: urinary tract infection, abscess, atypical appendicitis/colitis, significant prostatitis (men), gynecologic inflammation (woman), rectal/anal dysfunction with resulting anal fissure, lower spine problem. Please get checked & avoid the temptation to wait or try topical otc agents.
