What's the normal dosage for zanaflex (tizanidine)?

Start low: I generally start with 4 mg once or twice a day. Many patients get tired at first so it is good to start at night. Depending on how things go i'll increase either the dose, like increase to 8 mg, or increase frequency, like three times a day. The book says the maximum dose is 36 mg/day. In my experience most patients will end up taking it between once and 3 times/day.
