A member asked:

What are the symptoms of neurotic personality disorder?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Over reactive: Freud was one of the first to describe the neurotic personality, although there is no formal diagnosis of neurotic personality disorder. It has come to mean an individual who is emotionally over reactive because of the failure to repress certain drives and conflicts. These individuals find it difficult to sit thru scary movies, they take things too personally, and are easily moved to tears.
