Most likely pressure: Without any other information or physical exam, the most likely cause for unilateral swelling of your upper lip is that there is more pressure on this portion of your lip when making out. This may be due to a number of factors (head tilt etc) or if your upper left incisors are slightly more forward. When people kiss the pressure on the lips is usually not evenly distributed also.
