Yes: Yes, sertraline can help with anxiety. Your psychiatrist can evaluate and work with you to arrive at the best regimen, though. It is usually best to also work in psychotherapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy can provide many tools to deal with anxiety on your own. Other psychotherapies may help as well -- such as emdr when traumatic flashbacks & nightmares are a problem.
